Flowserve Precision Assembler (M/F/T) in Ettlingen, Germany

For our location in Ettlingen, Germany, we are looking for a dedicated precision assembler to start as soon as possible. The Precision Assembler is responsible for preparing assembly work and documentation. This position will also assemble a variety of equipment and tools and fulfill testing requirements. In addition, the Precision Assembler will be responsible for disassembly, cleaning, inspection and reassembly during a repair operation. This person will have access to state of the art materials and tools in our facility to meet these expectations and ensure delivery of a high quality product to our customers.

Your Responsibilities Complete assemblies according to drawings, instructions and work orders and perform testing as required. Ensure that all parts and components are clean prior to assembly and that assembly is performed properly and in accordance with all assembly procedures. Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment. Operate various precision measuring instruments, e.g., micrometers, verniers, and CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines), and hand tools, e.g., hydraulic torque wrenches and cutting torches. Troubleshooting assembly problems. Keen eye for detail and results-oriented approach. Ability to calculate basic math functions, including percentages, ratios, and percentages, and converting measurements to other values. Participate in CIP activities as required and adhere to all Flowserve policies and procedures. Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints and engineering drawings, safety instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and communicate clearly with co-workers, supervisors and customers. Customer focused behavior with regard to on-time delivery and quality work. Basic computer skills to use/learn data entry systems and use Microsoft Office package. Willingness to work overtime and weekends on short notice as needed. Must exhibit behaviors that promote team building and continuous improvement. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 23 kilos safely.

Your Profile Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of automation controls and electrical components. Experience as a rotating machinery mechanic, mechanical equipment mechanic or general mechanic. General high school diploma or vocational training. 5-7 years of relevant experience.
